I vividly remember the day; I was standing in the hallway of a church turned school.
It was an overcast January day. I can't recall the exact temperature, just that it was cold. I only remember THAT because I was wearing gloves when the mom of an eight-year-old boy reached out and grabbed my hand.
I will never forget the look in her eyes as she recounted sleepless nights, countless tantrums, and how she often felt stretched past her breaking point.
I will also never forget how she wept when she told me that her son had said, "I love you," for the first time just a few days prior. I'll be honest; I cried too. She felt lost, she said, reaching for help, hope, and a new way of doing things. She said that now, she could see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Lum is the Latin root for light. Nova is derived from the Latin word "novus," meaning new.
When we do this work with excellence and dedication, we provide hope to parents grappling with a life-changing diagnosis and tools to children who need extra care and support to navigate the world successfully.

Our mission is to support children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families by providing the tools, support, and care they need to thrive.
We aren't a big, corporate clinic where people will make decisions about your child's care you won't ever meet. Our therapists live and work right here, in our community, and have more than 15 years of experience providing the highest quality care.
Our Approach
We believe in the power of evidence-based practices to treat autism spectrum disorder . Our team of dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and support staff work collaboratively to develop individualized ABA therapy plans that address the unique needs and goals of each client.
By focusing on skill development, behavior management, and meaningful social interactions, we help individuals build the foundation for success in all areas of life.
